Kilo Moo Shortfill Series Review
Kilo e-liquids is a well known and respected brand from California USA. They have a whole variety of different flavour ranges, from the originals, to the black and white series liquids. The Kilo Moo range are, as you might expect, based around flavoured milks and milkshakes. They come in excellent value 100ml short-fill bottles and are mixed to a 70% VG blend. There’s six different flavours in the Moo range: Neapolitan Milk, Coffee Milk, Strawberry Milk, Blueberry Milk, Banana Milk and lastly, the only one I’ve tried before, Vanilla Almond Milk. I enjoyed that one a lot so I’m looking forward to trying them all.
I’ll start with Coffee Milk as coffee is usually what I start the day with, so it feels appropriate. Good coffee flavoured e-liquids are few and far between in my experience. Kilo’s Coffee Milk has the vibe of a good latte. It’s not massively strong on the coffee and I think it’s better for it. The coffee element is rich and earthy as you would expect but it’s not overpowering and the sweet, creamy, milk isn’t buried at all. It’s a very smooth taste that has no bitterness. I think this would appeal to people who like iced coffee lattes or just creamy coffee in general.
Neapolitan Milk is based on the classic strawberry, vanilla and chocolate ice cream. If you imagine that blended into a glass of milk then you’ll be somewhere close. However there’s some layering and separation to the flavours that stop this tasting jumbled. On the inhale it’s pretty much a strawberry milkshake but on the exhale there’s a distinct milk chocolate note underneath. I prefer this to the Coffee Milk and it’s something I could vape a lot of, it’s absolutely delicious.
On to something a little more fruity, Kilo Blueberry Milk. I don’t think I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking a blueberry milkshake but I’m pretty sure it would taste exactly like this. The blueberries in here are sweet, ripe, juicy and just a little tart. Along with the dairy milk and ice cream notes it really becomes a delightful combination. It’s very well balanced and it’s one of the best blueberry flavours I’ve had. If you like blueberries then I would highly recommend putting this on your list to try.
Strawberry Milk has been a classic and popular e-liquid flavour for a long time, I’ve tried several before and usually, while often delicious, they don’t stand out as anything special or different. That said, Kilo Strawberry Milk is one of the best I’ve tasted for a long time. The strawberry notes are sweet with just a little tanginess and more forward in flavour than I was expecting. The dairy notes are more of a fresh milk-type than a heavy vanilla ice cream. This does make it taste very much like a strawberry milk rather than a USA style milkshake. If you like strawberry flavours then I don’t think Kilo Strawberry Milk will disappoint.
Moving on to one I’m not really looking forward to, Banana Milk. I’m just not a fan of banana flavours generally but I’ll try and be pragmatic. The banana here is sweet and ripe, it’s been a long time since I ate a banana but I think it’s fairly authentic. It’s not overtly in your face and I’m enjoying it a little more than I thought I would. It’s very creamy tasting and the exhale is very smooth with a nice mouth-feel. I’m sure if you love banana flavours then you’ll be putting this on your list anyway. Even as someone who isn’t a fan I can tell this is a well blended flavour.
Vanilla Almond Milk
As I said in the introduction I’ve tried Vanilla Almond Milk before. I like nutty flavours so I tend to seek those out wherever I can find them. Kilo’s Vanilla Almond Milk is sweet, creamy, nutty and so tasty! If you like nutty vapes but often find them a little dry then this is one you need to try. To me it tastes a vanilla milkshake made with almond milk, which is something I’ve actually made for one of my vegan friends. The vanilla notes are very authentic and have a mild spicy taste that you would get from a real vanilla bean. This is one of the smoothest and creamiest of the whole range and I’ll be making sure I have a bottle of this on hand in the future. I had forgotten how yummy this was.
Overall Summary and Conclusion
Overall the Kilo Moo Series are fine e-liquids. There’s a lot of variety even within the ‘milk’ concept and that speaks to how these liquids have been developed individually and not just a different note mixed in with the same base. Coming in huge 100ml bottles they are also amazing value. All the flavours are smooth, well balanced and are ready for adding nicotine shots if required. I highly recommend giving them a try if you like milky, creamy flavours.
Summary: Despite being a pretty niche flavour profile, Kilo have hit the nail on the head with their milk flavoured Moo series. There are a few more familiar flavour profiles as well as a few more unique ones, I think no matter your preferences you'll find something you like.
